I explain that it's actually a self-discovery tool that goes way deeper than that.

How the Wise One Grows
What if there was a tool to help you understand not just the 'what' but the 'why' of your behavior? A tool that could lead you to a path of self-discovery and freedom from behaviors and attitudes that no longer serve you.
This conversation with Enneagram coach Chelsie Engle explores the profound tool of the Enneagram to do just that. We navigate the nuances of the Enneagram system, and how it sets itself apart from other personality tests. I work with Holly and also explore how the Enneagram sheds light on the core dynamics of our behaviors and attitudes, offering a path to transformative personal growth.
We explore how the Enneagram can lead to increased mental, emotional, and physical energy. We discuss the transformative potential of the Enneagram in the context of relationships, helping us identify codependency and the parts of ourselves that we don't love. I also share my insights on how the Enneagram can bridge gaps across cultural, communication, and justice issues. This tool is not just about understanding ourselves better, but also about creating bridges and building connections with others.
Joy Found Here
What if I told you nothing about anyone needs to be fixed? No one is broken; they are only experiencing different levels of self-knowledge.
In this episode, I'm thrilled to welcome Chelsie Engle, a Certified Enneagram Coach with 10+ years of experience as an Educator and Instructional Coach. After years of struggling with infertility, pregnancy loss, and fertility treatments, Chelsie became a mom. Contrary to what she thought, her struggles were far from over after a severe post-partum depression while dealing with a toxic work environment. A therapist introduced her to the Enneagram universe, and once she understood her type, her entire life changed, she studied the Enneagram for years and became an Enneagram Coach.
Throughout our conversation, you'll learn what Enneagram Coaching is and how it can help you improve your self-knowledge and deal with your triggers more efficiently. You'll also hear Chelsie's passion for being an agent of change in people's lives and her love story with Enneagram Coaching.
Additionally, you'll discover why emotional struggles create interpersonal conflict, why growth happens when you switch from reaction to curiosity, and much more.
My Naked Mindset
Happy July! I have Chelsie on the pod, who is a certified enneagram coach with a successful business helping her clients beat stress & overwhelm. She is so knowledgeable in this space of enneagrams and has coached so many folks on finding more about themselves and their partner. She gives an overview of all 9 types and explains their core values, what they want in a partner, and their personality traits. She did a session with Tyler and me; it was a fun date night. We learned so much more about each other that we never would have known if we hadn’t done this session with Chelsie. Chelsie asks all of the right questions to get to the root of what type you are. This episode is full of great knowledge about enneagrams!

Dear Midlife
Today, Chelsie teaches us that:
The Enneagram is a self-discovery tool that helps an individual discover their core motivations. It allows us to explore our actions and behaviors through this unique lens to determine if they are serving us in a healthy way or not.
Our behavior and qualities should be seen as neither good nor bad, but rather healthy or unhealthy. Often, what we "loathe" in others are characteristics we don't see in ourselves.
It's easy to get caught in between your fears and desires and feel like you're on a hamster wheel you can't get off of, however, awareness is the first step to understanding how to create healthy behaviors in your own life.
A great way to identify your type is to ask yourself what is the best feeling in the world for me? (this will usually help you pinpoint your core motivation) and What is the worst feeling in the world for me? (which will help you pinpoint your core fear)
When you recognize you are in stress, stop. Acknowledge what you're feeling (usually something linked to your core fear). Ask yourself WHY you are feeling this way? Finally, ask yourself what you need in that moment? I feel...because...I need... and VALIDATE. yourself in these feelings.
